There’s nothing more exciting than capturing those expectant moments when new parents are waiting for their little one to arrive into his new life. Actually, it’s possibly a little more exciting when the expectant parents are extremely photogenic and incredibly sweet and fun to photograph.

I had the pleasure this weekend of photographing a sweet newborn in Henderson. She did not want to sleep and was so full of personality - we managed to get some of the cutest expressions out of her!

It’s always so special to capture these first baby moments in the world for new parents.

Congrats again to the new mom and dad and here’s a quick peek for you!

I love sleepy newborns but getting these wide eyed baby expressions is pretty awesome as well!

Double Trouble | Las Vegas Family Photographer

They aren’t twins! Just very close in age. Two very sweet little boys that I had the pleasure of photographing today along with their incredibly sweet parents.

I really loved meeting you guys today, the boys were great fun.

This session was done through www.oplove.org which is a non profit organization that provides family portraits for our troops that are (or have recently been) deployed and separated from their loved ones.

Vegas Weddings | Las Vegas Portrait Photographer

November 25, 2009 – 10:15 pm

I don’t technically *do* weddings. But this was an exception last weekend. I had the pleasure of meeting with a lovely bride and groom that are a friend of a friend and in all the way from England to get married here in Las Vegas.  Because the ceremony was held at the famous Graceland Wedding Chapel - I was unable to photograph the ceremony (very strict rules at the chapels around here - darn!) but that didn’t hinder the amount of amazing shots that I was able to get of this gorgeous bride and groom and all of their friends. I hope you guys enjoyed Las Vegas and had a safe trip home. It was really a fun night and you make a beautiful couple. Congratulations!

I had the honor of attending a shoot at the fabulous Studio 3775 this past weekend to shoot some beautiful models in honor of Halloween. Studio is really not my typical style, but I have to admit this was a great time had by everyone. The models were stunning and the photographers present were all so friendly and helpful and just fun to be around! So thanks to everyone that was there, I really enjoyed myself and look forward to the next similar event.

I recently had the chance to visit with my sister in Danville, Virginia for a long weekend. Visiting family is always a nice way to spend time!  When I was visiting my sister - I, of course, took a million photos with her and my nephew.

My nephew has had special needs for most of his life with developmental delays that really haven’t been explained medically to anyone yet. Because of this, my sister was worried he may be a difficult child to photograph. I’m so glad that I was able to get some great photos of my sister and her son together.

(And by the way check out how GREEN it is outside of Las Vegas! - amazing, right?)

Oh baby. | Las Vegas Newborn Photographer

Don’t you just love newborns? I sure do. This is why I love photographing babies in their own homes and nurseries. Check out the cool old dresser we were able to use for this shot!

She was the sweetest. thing. ever.

And while we’re on the subject of newborns - I’m currently looking for newborns to photograph during the months of November and December. This casting call is limited to two babies and if you are chosen, you’ll receive a newborn session absolutely free ($150.00 value). So if you or someone you know is expecting at the end of the year, please call me at 588-1423 or email me at “heather at hnbphotography dot com” so we can work out the details based on your due date.

In order to qualify for this casting call, you need to contact me BEFORE your baby is born - newborn portraiture is best done when little ones are around 10 days old.

Exhausted. | Las Vegas Pet Photographer

We are in the process of packing up our family home (again) and moving (again).

It’s a nice and easy move to a house only 5 minutes away and we’re moving for one reason - we wanted a POOL! Seriously, we had no idea when we moved here from Michigan how necessary a pool is in the hot Las Vegas summers - especially with the kids!

Needless to say, our entire family is just flat. out. exhausted.
